Modified on Mon, 16 Jun at 12:43 PM

Mighty empowers Pro subscribers in the US, UK, and Canada to select who pays any processing fees associated with transactions: you (the business), or your customer. Be sure that your choice complies with all local regulations that are relevant for your business.

If you opt to pass along fees to your customers, the amount they will paid are laid out below (with percentages representing a portion of the transaction total):

CountryCustomer platform fee
Australia1.7% + $0.30
Canada3.5% + $0.30
New Zealand1.7% + $0.30
United Kingdom1.7% + 20p
United States3.5% + $0.30

To select the appropriate option for your business, take the following steps:

  1. Open Mighty (and ensure you are logged into your account)
  2. Tap the Settings button (in the top right corner)
  3. Under the Payment Options section, press Stripe
  4. Press the currently displayed fee option
  5. Select your desired setting from the dropdown menu:
    • Business pays — this is the default option, and will require you to pay the per-transaction rate for your country.
    • Customer pays — this option a fee to your client’s service total, which they will pay in addition to the invoice total if using credit/debit card.
      • Note: The platform fee will automatically be shown as part of the total amount charged to your client in the checkout flow. However, it will be deducted from the total if the “Cash” payment method is selected.

The fee option you select will be applied to all future transactions (that are started after changing the settings).

The ability to select how processing fees are applied is not currently available for Mighty subscribers located in Australia or New Zealand.
