Mighty partners with Stripe — one of the largest, most secure, and most reliable payment processors in the world — to power payment processing through the app. This enables us to offer extremely competitive payment processing rates that are lower than most other POS apps, so that you can increase your earnings. The table below outlines the per-transaction fees that businesses are responsible for paying (if they elect to be responsible for the processing fees), based on each country.
Country | Business processing fee (for Pro subscribers) | Business processing fee (for free users) |
---|---|---|
Australia | 1.5% + $0.30 | 1.7% + $0.30 |
Canada | 2.8% + $0.30 | 3.5% + $0.30 |
New Zealand | 1.5% + $0.30 | 1.7% + $0.30 |
United Kingdom | 1.5% + 20p | 1.7% + 20p |
United States | 2.8% + $0.30 | 3.5% + $0.30 |
Note: In the table above, all fixed amounts listed are in the associated country’s currency (i.e. USD for United States, GBP for United Kingdom, etc.).
The only other charges that may arise related to payment processing are in the event of a dispute. If a customer of yours disputes a transaction, you will be charged a $15 or £15 dispute fee to cover the cost of processing the dispute (in addition to any funds you may be required to refund them). This amount is returned to you if you counter their dispute and win. In the event of dispute, we’ll help you provide the info needed to contest it.
Users in the U.S., Canada, and U.K. can also opt to have the processing fees included in the total amount paid by their customers (rather than as deducted from the amount they receive). To learn more about this option, please view this article.
