Mighty enables users to create and view custom reports, directly within the app. Additionally, they can export the data from reports as a spreadsheet for further analysis or tax reporting.

Accessing Reports

To view your business's data, simply swipe all the way to the right from the invoice dashboard in Mighty (past Estimates and Drafts). You'll see the yellow Reports tab with two key components:

  1. A chart, which will automatically update based on the filters you select
  2. A list, which will display all of the invoices or estimates associated with the data being shown in the chart.

Customizing Reports

Your invoice and estimate data can be filtered and presented in various ways to ensure you're looking at the most helpful view. To unlock the insights in your business's data, you can change the following aspects of the chart and list:

  • Values displayed — Tap the "Invoice value" option to choose which figures are shown on the Y-axis of the chart. You can select from the following:
    • Invoice value (total financial amount of all invoices sent)
    • Invoice count (total number of all invoices sent)
    • Unpaid invoices (total financial amount of invoices that have not yet been marked as paid)
    • Payments received (total financial amount of invoices that are marked as paid)
    • Estimate value (total financial amount of all estimates sent)
    • Estimate count (total number of all estimates sent)
  • Interval — The granularity at which the data is shown on the X-axis (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly)
  • Time period — The time range for which data is shown. It's based on when the invoice/estimate was first sent.
  • Chart type — Selector at the top of the chart to switch between bars and lines

Exporting Reports

With just one tap of the "Export Report" button, Mighty will send you all the relevant details of each invoice or estimate that is included in the list/chart. Importantly, the report file will reflect whatever filters were applied when you pressed the button.

The report will be a CSV file, which can be opened in Excel, Sheets, or other spreadsheet tool, and it will be emailed to the address associated with your Mighty account (note: this may be different than your business email, depending on how you signed up).
